Fall Activities to Enjoy this Spooky Season

Mike Freeman Property Group Activities to Enjoy this Spooky Season Halloween in Austin and Round Rock ATX Real Estate

If you’re someone that waits for Halloween all year round, then we’re sure the anticipation for the holiday is at an all-time high. Luckily, there are some events and activities you can participate in now to keep you in the spirit before the ghosts and goblins are on the streets asking you if you would like a trick or a treat.

Every Friday and Saturday evening in October, the Austin Zoo and Animal Sanctuary will be open after hours! Costumes are encouraged, so dress up, grab your flashlights, and see the animals after dark. You can even ride a Haunted Train to really get into the spirit of the season.

Kicking off mid-October, Pioneer Farms will feature a 3/4 mile trail all decked out with spooky scarecrows, lanterns, historic haunted houses, story-tellers, and more! There are three trails available for ages and scare levels of all kinds! There are also fortune-tellers and hayrides available for even more family fun.

If you and your family are looking to explore the mystical and fairytale side of the holiday, check out Salado’s Halloween Fright Trail which features some great reenactments from Grimm’s Fairy Tales. The Bullock Museum is also housing an after-hours family-friendly Halloween event on October 25. Performances, games, interactive activities, art, and more will be out in full swing.

Halloween wouldn’t be the same without the Sanderson Sisters, so with a little Hocus Pocus, the Long Center is planning to put a spell on you. Kathy Najimy who played Mary Sanderson will be at the screening happening October 29 for a Q&A session with guests as well as to share behind-the-scenes stories.

On October 19, from 3 - 7 PM, Old Settler’s Park is hosting one of the largest Halloween extravaganzas in Central Texas. This festival has everything from carnival games, inflatables, rides, and climbing walls to free Halloween candy, music, prizes, concessions, and more. Everything you’re looking forward to about Halloween will be here!

Our team is wishing you a happy and safe Halloween season. We hope you and your family are able to enjoy some of the attractions going on around town, and if you ever need our expertise to help you buy or sell a home, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
