Round Rock and Hutto Receive Some Much Needed Revamping

In order to thrive, cities have to keep of with the needs of the citizens and tourists coming to the area. Luckily, Round Rock, Pflugerville, and Hutto are undergoing a variety of improvements to enhance the community. From green spaces to new signs, you’re bound to notice a change!

The first half of the year has been centered around scenery updates, mobility improvements, and gathering funding for civic buildings. A new city hall and the public library opened its doors in Hutto, while the land was bought for a new library coming to Round Rock and a decision was made on a new City Hall in Pflugerville. Here’s a closer glimpse at the changes you can expect to see in Round Rock and Hutto in the coming months.

Round Rock
The water tower that has been a part of Round Rock’s history since it was erected in 1936 is undergoing a series of updates. Starting in July, there will be workers making structural repairs, adding lights, and even giving it a fresh coat of paint. Later this summer, a large cloth will surround the tower as the structure is being sanded to remove any rust spots. The new tower is expected to make its debut in November.

The Co-Op District has been all everyone can talk about in the Hutto area, and we’ll continue to see developments in the next few months. Signs on the cotton silos along Hwy. 79 are coming soon and will welcome guests to the Co-Op. While City Hall and the public library opened in April, many residents are wondering when the rest of the projected businesses will open its doors.

Southside Market & Barbeque is projected to open in January 2020, while Top Notch Hamburgers is hoping to begin construction in September and October in order to open between March and May of 2020. There’s no word yet on when Flix Brewhouse will open, but the project is underway. The developers are in talks with other retailers, so stay tuned on what more we can expect to see at the Co-Op District in the coming months.

If these new developments have sparked your interest in these communities, and you’re looking for more information on what it means to call these beautiful towns home, we’re here to help!
